Civil Service Examination

At the Dec. 10th meeting the city committee voted to urge the union to put pressure on DHR to expedite a civil service examination for the 3417 gardener classification. This is an important issue where the rank and file believe the best means to enhance, protect, and promote our professional standing as a real trade or craft is through a standardized civil service examination admininstered through a third party to prevent collusion. Let's hope this can happen soon. Joan
